On the 7th July 2023, in honour of “Plastic Free July”, Go Green and representatives from three of our customers travelled to Scarborough beach to take part in a beach clean along South Bay.

Litter picking along our beaches has become a vital part of maintaining our public spaces due to the quantity of litter washing up on our shores, including an alarming amount of plastic. Not only can the litter affect the natural ocean ecosystems, that can present hazards to the marine life who inhabit both the waters and beaches.

Five Go Green employees, joined by customers Amco Giffen, ISG and Everlast, spent around 2 hours litter picking along the bay. It was great to get out into the sunshine and spend some time giving back to the local community by keeping the beach clean ahead of a busy summer weekend. Overall £1,218.96 of social value was created off the back of the event.
